Ryan Nagy condolences

The Burnaby Junior B Lacrosse Club is saddened to learn of the recent passing of former player Ryan Nagy.

Ryan played a year with Junior B Lakers Lacrosse after Covid restrictions permitted play in 2021. He began his career as a Minor Laker in 2011 in the Tyke Division (now U7) and played as a Laker until his graduating year of minor lacrosse in 2019. Ryan’s box lacrosse teams were very successful including Provincial wins: 2016 Bantam A2 GOLD; 2017 Bantam A1 GOLD; 2019 Midget A1 BRONZE.

Ryan also participated in several other lacrosse programs including the Burnaby Devils Field Lacrosse Club, Burnaby Mountain Selects, Seattle Shooting Stars. Ryan was also a BC Games Gold medal winner for field lacrosse in 2018, along with several of his Burnaby teammates.

The Nagy family were active volunteers with the Burnaby Lakers, participating for several years in club operations and as part of the BMLC annual Jack Crosby Novice All Star Tournament.

Burnaby Junior Lacrosse extends heartfelt thoughts, and deepest condolences go out to the Nagy family and to the many friends and teammates of Ryan’s.
